Terms of Use

Agreement
These Terms of Use form an agreement between you and Plant It Planner ("we", "us", "the app"). By creating an account or using the app on the web, iOS, or Android, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
Your account
You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials safe and for anything done under your account. Sign in with Apple, Google, or email. You can delete your account from Settings → Account → Delete account at any time.
Acceptable use
Use the app for personal gardening planning. Don't try to break, scrape, reverse-engineer, abuse rate limits on, or interfere with the app or its servers. Don't use the app to violate any law or to harass anyone.
Subscriptions and payments
Plant It Planner offers an auto-renewable Premium subscription:
- Plant It Planner Premium (Monthly) — $9.99 USD per month.
- Plant It Planner Premium (Annual) — $99.99 USD per year.
Prices in other currencies follow the App Store / Play Store equivalent for your region.
Auto-renewal. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period at the same price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your Apple ID or Google Play account will be charged for the renewal during the 24-hour period before the period ends.
Cancelling. You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time:
- iOS:Settings app → your Apple ID → Subscriptions → Plant It Planner.
- Android:Google Play app → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period; you keep Premium access until that date.
Free trials. If a free trial is offered with a subscription, the unused portion of the trial is forfeited if you purchase a subscription during the trial period.
Refunds. Refund requests go through the platform you bought from. For iOS, request a refund via reportaproblem.apple.com. For Android, request a refund through Google Play.
What Premium includes
Premium unlocks AI-powered features (Garden Plan generation, plant autofill, daily Insights), unlimited gardens, and any additional features marked Premium inside the app. Free accounts retain access to basic gardening planning, manual plant entry, journal, and harvest logging. The specific feature list can change over time; we'll keep Premium worth at least as much as it was when you subscribed.
Your content
You own the gardens, plants, photos, and journal entries you create. You grant us a limited license to store and display that content to you across your devices. We don't claim any rights to it. See our

AI features
Some features send your plant kind, growing zone, garden area, and similar non-sensitive inputs to OpenAI to generate suggestions. We don't send your photos, journal text, or email. You're responsible for verifying any AI-generated planting advice before acting on it — gardening outcomes depend on local conditions we don't model.
No warranty
The app is provided "as is" and "as available." Planting suggestions, frost dates, and schedules are informational only. We don't guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any specific gardening outcome will result from following its recommendations.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the app is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or $50 USD if you haven't paid for a subscription. We're not liable for lost crops, indirect damages, or consequential damages.
Changes to these terms
If we materially change these terms, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and notify you in the app the next time you sign in. Continued use after a material change means you accept the new terms.
